Reading Groups

Introducing our New and Improved Strong Roots Reading Groups!!!

As of Fall 2024, we are introducing a new and exclusive Strong Roots Reading Group Curriculum and structure in order to best serve each of our young readers. 

Reading Groups will now be limited to a maximum of 6 children on weekdays and 8 children per group on Saturdays. These classes will have a MONTHLY sign-up requirement in order to provide children the opportunity to work on specific needs and fully develop their English speaking and listening skills. 

This will help our instructors to understand how to best serve each child and give them the opportunity to focus on each child’s needs and skills.  Smaller group numbers will also allow each child to have more one-on-one attention and give each person more time to speak and ask questions! 

As always, each week will cover a specific theme and start with a Strong Roots snack and book reading time. Classes then continue with our traditional Arts & Crafts and S.T.E.M. exploration time.  This year Reading Group classes will build on each other, some activities may be multiple week activities or experiments that children can look forward to continuing week by week…

We will have special Toddler Session Reading Groups again this year! Toddler Reading Groups are for children aged 2.5 years to 4 and are Parent & Child activities where parents (or caregivers) sit at the table with the children for the duration of the class. These sessions last approximately 45 minutes and include snack, English book reading time, creative time and finish with some circle time and nursery songs!
